Scooter fans from all walks of life embraced the scooter phenomenon and this entertaining programme takes a nostalgic look at the scrambling, rallies, competitions, culture and games enjoyed by many scooter enthusiasts of the 1950s.
Enjoy the 1959 Scottish Rally as over 60 two-strokes buzz along the Highland roads, next travel to Woburn Abbey to a British Lambretta Rally. Scooter scrambling was also a popular pastime and highlights shown here capture all the action. There's also a Brands Hatch competition and, in the Isle of Man, the annual Motor Scooter Rally saw entrants and their scooters compete around the famous TT circuit. Scooter sport was so widespread that even the 1959 SSDT - one of motorcycling's toughest competitions - had a class for them.
