'A comprehensive look back' Autosport magazine, January 2008

High-speed passes, car-crushing crashes, controversy and some of the closest racing around - welcome to the awesome Champ Car World Series!
The Official Review of the 2007 season brings you the best action from all 14 races of the series, with on-board and trackside cameras putting you so close to the racing you can almost feel the turbocharged, 200mph-plus monsters roaring past.
The '07 season had a truly international flavour, with victors from five different countries and events held in Canada, Europe, Australia, Mexico and, of course, the USA.
As the new season burst into life on the streets of Las Vegas, Sebastien Bourdais was looking for a fourth championship title in a row. Although first blood went to Australian Will Power, three back-to-back wins for Bourdais suggested the title charge would be a one-horse race. Then came a typically dramatic victory from Champ Car veteran Paul Tracy, who took first place despite twice losing his front wing during the race!
The mid-point of the '07 season saw sensational rookie Robert Doornbos become a genuine title contender. The Dutch ex-Formula One driver took his Team Minardi USA car to a maiden victory in treacherous wet conditions, and announced himself as real challenger for Bourdais' crown.
Power, Bourdais and Doornbos remained title favourites as they dominated victory lane in the second half of the season, but nothing is certain in the always unpredictable Champ Car World Series. With just three races to go, another name entered the championship fray, Britain's Justin Wilson produced a stunning display to snatch victory in the Netherlands and move into contention for the title.
With pressure building, Bourdais dug deep and delivered a flawless drive to take victory in Australia, and with it his fourth consecutive Champ Car World Series Championship.
In just five years Bourdais scored four titles, 31 victories and 44 podium places - celebrate an historic, record-breaking career with the Champ Car World Series 2007 Official Review.

'The Champ Car World Series review is a comprehensive look back at a season which featured a closer title battle - in the early stages at least - than the final points standings would suggest. All 14 rounds are covered in detail in this epic three-and-a-half-hour review, carved from the European coverage of the series....with a relatively small number of races, none of the flashpoints and highlights of the season are missing and there's plenty of decent on-board footage to keep you entertained. And the sight of seeing perennial strugglers Dale Coyne Racing enjoying their best season is surely worth the money alone.....' Autosport magazine, January 2008
